Bone Graphic Novel

Meet with the Bone cousins, Fone Bone, Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone, three misfits that are run out of Boneville and find themselves lost in a huge uncharted desert. They earn their way into a deep, forested valley.

Fone is the everyman hero, Phoney is a cynical con artist, and Smiley is. Having been exiled from their Boneville house, they make their way through a kingdom filled with magic and danger. Part of Bone’s enjoyment is in the mix of styles: the Bone cousins are Walt Kelly-esque cartoon characters, even although is a high-fantasy setting full of realistic people and monsters.

With the support of the Thorn, her tough-as-nails Gran’mthe Great Red Dragon and a Ben, the boys do their best to live in the middle of brewing trouble between the denizens of the valley. It will be the longest — but funniest — year of the lives!

Originally serialized in black & white comic books and graphic novels, the award-winning novel was presented complete and unabridged for the first time in this remarkable 1300 page tome preserving the original black & white artwork.

The new book promises a narrative of the Bone Cousins and their friend Bartleby journeying back to Boneville, a setting that never appeared in the original work. Whether they make it there or not, the journey is guaranteed to be rewarding.

It has been 25 years since Jeff Smith’s Bone started, and over a decade because the last publication was published, but today we’re met with all the exciting news that more Bone is forthcoming! Specifically Bone: Coda, a brand new novel by Jeff Smith, arrives according to a statement on the Bone Tumblr.
